I am a faculty member in the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and my research interest is molecular imaging in oncology. Specifically, I am interested in the development of novel PET radiotracers for the detection and characterization of lung cancer. I have chosen PET imaging since these tracers have promise as clinical functional imaging tools. My goal is to position myself at the interface of basic research and the clinic and identify novel molecular imaging probes for translation to the clinic.
My current clinical project is titled “FLT-PET/CT as an Early Measure of Response to Chemotherapy in Stage 4 Lung Cancer with Comparison to FDG-PET/CT”. I am also exploring FLT-PET/CT uptake as a measure of early response to chemotherapy in mouse xenograft models of human lung cancer.
